  • Extends sensor over two singlemode or multimode fiber cables.
    • E-SER-2FOSMST: Using a duplex singlemode 9-micron ST cable, extend to 12.4 miles (20 km).
  • Converts RJ45 cabling into fiber on both ends.
    • Use CATx cable with one end unterminated to connect the ENVIROMUX unit and sensor to the fiber converters.
    • Maximum CATx length is sensor-dependent, but cannot exceed 1,000 ft (305 m) on local and remote ends combined. (See sensor specs for max length.)
  • Built-in surge and static protection.

      Extend Sensors Up to 1.2 miles Away From E-2D/5D/16D
      The E-FSC converts RJ45 cabling into fiber, enabling a sensor to be located up to 1.2 miles (2 km) away from the E-2D/5D/16D unit. Furthermore, between the ENVIROMUX unit and fiber converter, and between the fiber converter and sensor combined, up to 1,000 ft (328 m) of CAT5/5e/6 cable can be used to extend the distance further. Note: by using the Digital I/O Expanders or Temperature/Humidity Sensor with Two Digital Inputs at the remote end, additional sensors can be connected.
