Overview

The VIDMUX® 4K 18Gbps HDMI Switch routes digital Ultra-HD 4Kx2K 60Hz 4:4:4 video and audio from up to four HDMI sources to one HDMI display.

Supports resolutions up to Ultra-HD 4Kx2K (3840x2160 and 4096x2160 @24/30/60Hz YUV 4:4:4).
Eliminates redundant video displays.
Control the switch via the front panel interface, infrared remote (IR) control or RS232.
HDMI features supported:
- HDMI 2.0
- Up to 48-Bit Deep Color
- RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2, YCbCr 4:2:0
- LPCM, Dolby, DTS
- Bandwidth up to 600 Mhz (18Gbps).
- Support for CEC (consumer electronic control) compatible devices.

HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 compliant.
Features Auto Scan and Auto Jump switching functions.
- Auto scan – when the selected video input is inactive for over 0.5 seconds, the switch will automatically display the video from the next active input.
  - When using the previous/next buttons/commands with the IR remote control or RS232, the switch will skip over the inactive inputs.
- Auto jump – automatically switches to the video signal of a newly connected video input.

Cables

Interface cables between the video sources/displays and the switch are required for proper operation.
- Supports cable lengths to 20 feet for 4Kx2K resolutions at 60Hz and lengths to 50 feet for 1080p at 60Hz using passive HDMI cables.
  - Cables longer than 50 feet can be used provided they have a built-in video equalizer (also known as "active HDMI cables").
Use HD-xx-MM HDMI cables to connect an HDMI source or display.
- HD-3/6/10/15/20-MM supports resolutions to 4K@60Hz.
- HD-30/50/75/100-MM supports resolutions to 1080p@60Hz.
  - HD-75/100-MM have a built-in digital video equalizer for extending HD signals up to 1080p at 60Hz. These cables are directional, with one plug end marked for the display.
Use HD-ACT-xx-MM 4K HDMI Active Cables to connect an HDMI source or display up to 100 feet.
- HD-ACT-20/25/30/40/50/60-MM supports resolutions to 4K@60Hz (18 Gbps).
- HD-ACT-75/100-MM supports resolutions to 4K@30Hz (10.2 Gbps).
Use DVI-HD-xx-MM cable to connect a DVI source or display (not included).
- Does not support 4Kx2K resolutions.
Cables not included.

Control Methods

Front Panel Interface

Standard control method.
LEDs indicate currently selected port and mode of operation.
- LED brightness is adjustable.
Configuration and control can be done using the front panel buttons.

RS232 Control Option

Standard control method.
Configuration and control can be done through the serial port.
- Female DB9 serial connector.
Baud rate fixed at 9600.

IR Remote Control

Standard control method.
Configuration and control can be done using the included IR remote control.
