The SPLITMUX® Low-Cost 4K HDMI Quad Screen Multiviewer allows Ultra-HD 4Kx2K 30Hz video from four different sources to be simultaneously displayed on a single HDMI monitor in real time. It is capable of displaying the video signals in quad, dual, PiP, or full screen mode.

Overview

Quad, Dual, Picture in Picture, and Full Screen display modes.
Supports Ultra-HD resolutions up to 3840x2160 @30Hz YUV 4:4:4, and HDTV resolutions to 1080p @60Hz.
HDMI features supported:

- Bandwidth up to 6.75 Gbps
Accepts HDCP 1.4/2.2 signals.
Seamlessly switch between the four sources.
Switch audio independently of video from active HDMI video sources (video sources turned on and being displayed).
- E.g. source 3 and source 4 video are active while only source 3 audio is active).
Control the multiviewer through front panel buttons or IR remote.
Mounting brackets included for easy surface/wall mounting.

Four female HDMI connectors.
- Supports HDMI devices such as DVD/Blu-Ray players, satellite receivers and HDTV tuners.
- Does not support DVI video sources.

- HDTV resolutions to 1080p @60Hz

Video Output

One female HDMI connector for display.
- Use an HDMI to DVI adapter/cable to connect a DVI display.
Supported video output resolutions:
- Ultra-HD 4Kx2K resolutions (3840x2160 @30Hz)
- HDTV resolutions to 1080p @60Hz
Supports embedded digital audio through HDMI compatible TVs or audio receivers.

Cables

Interface cables between the video sources/display and the multiviewer are required for proper operation.
- Supports input cable lengths to 20 feet for 4K@30Hz resolutions and lengths to 50 feet for 1080p@60Hz using passive HDMI cables.
- Supports output cable lengths to 30 feet for 4K@30Hz resolutions and lengths to 50 feet for 1080p@60Hz using passive HDMI cables.
- Longer cables can be used provided they have a built-in video equalizer (also known as "active HDMI cables").
Use HD-xx-MM HDMI cables to connect to an HDMI source or display up to 100 feet away from the multiviewer.
- Video Input:
  - HD-3/6/10/15/20-MM supports resolutions to 4K@30Hz.
  - HD-30/50/75/100-MM supports resolutions to 1080p@60Hz.
- Video Output:
  - HD-3/6/10/15/20/30-MM supports resolutions to 4K@30Hz.
  - HD-50/75/100-MM supports resolutions to 1080p@60Hz.
Use HD-ACT-xx-MM 4K HDMI Active Cables to connect an HDMI source or display up to 100 feet away from the multiviewer.
- Video Input:
  - HD-ACT-20/25/30/40/50/60-MM supports resolutions to 4K@30Hz.
  - HD-ACT-75/100-MM supports resolutions up to 1080p@60Hz
- Video Output:
  - HD-ACT-20/25/30/40/50/60/75/100-MM supports resolutions to 4K@30Hz.
Use DVI-HD-xM-MM cables to connect a DVI display to the multiviewer.
- Supports resolutions up to 1080p@60Hz.

Control Methods

Display Modes

Quad Mode

In quad mode, the screen is split into four fields of equal size each displaying the entire contents of four different video sources.

Dual Mode

In dual mode, the screen is split into two fields of equal size displaying the entire contents of two different video sources side-by-side.
- The original images are displayed with half of their original width and stretched vertically to fill entire display.

Full Screen Mode

In full screen mode, one of the four video sources is displayed in full screen size and maximum resolution.

Picture in Picture (PIP) Mode

In PiP mode, the full screen display of one of the four video sources is accompanied by one or three small images (thumbnails) of the three other video sources allowing simultaneous monitoring.
- If there is no video source connected to the thumbnail, its screen will remain black.

Control Methods

Front Panel Interface

Use the front panel button to locally change display mode.

Infrared Remote Control

Use to change ports, select a display mode, change resolutions and switch/mute audio.
